Mino Bimaadizidaa
Designed to promote and encourage living well, skill building, traditional Anishinaabe knowledge and culture with land-based learning opportunities.
Anishinaabemowin
Anishinaabemowin is rooted in cultural, spiritual, and practical significance for the Our People. The language is a vital to our identity and heritage. It carries the traditions, stories, and wisdom of the ancestors, preserving the community’s history and cultural practices.
Service Ontario
Located in Serpent River First Nation within the Trading Post. A mobile unit is also used that visits communities in the Robinson Huron Treaty area with a focus on the communities of Mamaweswen the North Shore Tribal Council.
Ontario Works
Niigaaniin has changed how Ontario Works is delivered in our First Nations. Providing financial and employment assistance, and addiction services, though Kindness, Truth, Sharing and Strength.
Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
Once accessible only outside of First Nation communities, Niigaaniin has grown to provide the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) within our First Nations.
Enji-maawinjidiyaang
Indigenous Friendship Centre
Empowering Indigenous Connections, Celebrating Indigenous Culture. Aside from the general visits, programming includes various activities and learning opportunities.
Kinoomaagewin
Kinoomaagewin is about letting the land lead you, learning from it and the lessons the land offers. Kinoomaagewin is more than a specific site or place. It is everywhere. It is nature, but much more. It is rooted in Aanishnabe traditional practices.
Endayaan Endazhi-takookiiyaan
A fully developed service model that places Indigenous families at the centre of the Healing Journey. Strong families, strong relationships and traditional knowledge allow us to work with our community members at our land-based site, in camp style cohorts.
